About Sunvale Heating and Cooling

Sunvale Heating and Cooling was founded by Josh Baur, a lifelong Vancouver Island resident with deep roots in the local community. Josh’s family has been on the island for over five generations, and in his 40 years here, he has lived and worked throughout Greater Victoria, from Sooke to Sidney and everywhere in between.

Josh spent 8 years as a volunteer firefighter with the Highlands Fire Department, building a strong foundation in service, accountability, and showing up when it matters most. Today, he lives near Goldstream Park with his wife Jennifer and their two children, Jacob and Isabelle.

Sunvale was built on a simple philosophy: provide exceptional service, deliver reliable results, and keep pricing fair and community-minded. That same approach continues to guide every project, from small repairs to full system installations.

With over 40 years of combined experience, Sunvale Heating and Cooling offers expert service across heat pumps, furnaces, ventilation, and custom sheet metal. The team holds certifications as journeyman Refrigeration Mechanics (with electrical endorsements), Class B Gas Fitters, and Sheet Metal Fabricators.

Sunvale is fully licensed, insured, and bonded, and holds enhanced security clearance for work in regulated and secure environments. We regularly complete projects for remote RCMP detachments, ambulance stations, and healthcare facilities — delivering dependable service where reliability matters most.
